Team(?) Update: It’s 2020! Quick Review of 2019 And Taking a Peek At The Future

So… 2019 was an interesting year. We promised a lot of things and most of them didn’t happen. There were a lot of ups and downs and some BIG highs and LOW lows. On the whole (even though I thought we hadn’t written all that much) 2019 turned out to be a pretty successful year for us. I’m not going to go on and on since I’m not doing the numbers on here any more but the year started off pretty bad, and ended pretty bad. But we still had a good year. And we nearly had a new Heavyweight Champion blog-post too! (The Blackcoat’s Daughter is still our reigning, defending champion… for now. And Us did really well too!)

Now, let’s talk a little bit about the future… That Death Stranding review IS still coming (looks pretty good so far) even though I’m not sure where the Capn’s disappeared to. I’ve seen a few films but I don’t have any reviews written yet. I’m not sure how things are looking for The Corvid Review right now but I’m sure it’ll bounce back soon enough. (I might get around to finishing up some of the abandonposts if I get the time…)

But here’s why I’m here. We missed something important a few days ago and I got to set the record straight seeing how the Capn’s AWOL.

Hope you lovely lot had lots of hams and cheeses and big plump roasted anatids(!) and all the good foods in the world (a.k.a.: all the things I can’t eat any more)! And maybe… jus’ maybe… maybe you had a liiittle something to go with all that good food. (JK I can’t drink any more either^hic!). I’m a bit sad I didn’t get to cook my usual Swan(!) this year so I guess he’ll live to write another blog post some time.

Anyway! Hope you all had a big happy time during the holiday season and we also hope that you’re all doing well with your friends and families! I jus’ know 2020’s gonna be better! So let’s get those chins up and backs bent in! Let’s all do our best to act like a penguin heading into 2020!

This looks like it’s going to be a good year for films and whatnot and you know we’re throwing yet another Oscine Awards ceremony this year (even though we reviewed like… nothing from 2019). For now, that’s all that’s on the cards far as I know. I can already tell you who the big winners are but I’m going to hold off on it for now because SPOILERS and because I actually need to beat the Crow up to confirm them. Far as I’ve heard… there are also a few new faces due to show up so I know things are in the works. I just don’t know when those things are going to happen.

Right! I’m off to go fight the Borg ahead of Star Trek: Picard! I’ll see you lovely lot at the awards!
